On Friday, January 3, 2025, the last F-15C Eagle left the Warner Robins Air Logistics Complex (WR-ALC) at Robins AFB in Georgia. F-15C 80-0010 was delivered back to the 144th Fighter Wing (FW) at Fresno ANGB, CA. The Eagle was picked up by 144th FW pilot, Capt. Annalisa Sanfilippo. She took off in typical Eagle style and treated the onlookers at Robins AFB to several wing salutes as she departed the base.

F-15C 80-0010 started her career in Europe with the 22nd TFS at Bitburg AB, Germany. After Bitburg, she made her way to the 32nd TFS at Soesterberg AB in the Netherlands. She bounced around between the 32nd TFS and 36th TFW for a few years before she eventually made her way back to the United States. Her next stop was Nellis AFB, where the 80-0010 became the Commander Bird for the 65th Aggressor Squadron (AGRS). When the 65th AGRS was disbanded, the 80-0010 found a new home with the 144th FW of the California Air National Guard, where she still is today.
The 144th FW is scheduled to be the last unit in the U.S. Air Force to operate the legacy Eagles. They are expected to retire their last legacy Eagles somewhere around 2030 and transition to the brand-new F-15EX.
